Unexpected Spanking

We often listen to the Oldies radio station, and one of the artists featured regularly is Buddy Holly. I like his music, but never thought there was anything special about it. Then, because Ron remembers "the day the music died," we watched The Buddy Holly Story - a musical re-enactment of Buddy's rise to fame that includes performances of most of his songs.

The scene that caught my attention was one in which Buddy and the Crickets were about to record Everyday. Buddy turned to the drummer and told him to "do that slapping thing of yours" and Jerry, the drummer, immediately started slapping his thigh with his right hand.

Now, the song moves at a moderate speed: 1 - 2 - 3 - 4. But the slapping was double that speed: 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and ... so what you hear in the background is a rapid-fire spanking that continues for the whole   two minutes. After watching that hand for a few seconds I had to look away. It was just too perfect not to belong to a spanko.

What do you think? Listen and decide for yourself.

If that's a spanking, it sounds pretty mild. Lynda would probably describe hers as slower and heavier, more like Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, rather than Buddy Holly

I love this, Hermione! :) Mick is right...I suppose it might be kind of mild..but darn fast!
I am like you in that certain songs and beats in them will make me think of spanking right away.
I like that you said you "had to look away" because his hand was too perfect. :)
You are awesome!

interesting,

i remember all to well that awfull day. i was in homeroom and our teacher had heard the story on the radio comming to school.

you said you didn't think buddy's music was very special. maybe you never explored it. "annie works the night shift" and "true love ways", just to mention two, are up with randy newman and harry nilsson in my book.

the spanking tie in would never have occured to me as i am singled minded to a fault

thanx for this,

ddon

I don't remember that scene. Would have made me think of spanking as well. Pretty mild though.

Thanks Hermione.

Everyday, Hermione thinks of spankings! That's why I love her and her blog so much. However, you mislead your readers, I thought you were spanked. Ron should try a two minute spanking of your bottom to this beat.
cheers

Mick - Yes, mild, but what stamina that man had. He was an awesome drummer!

Bonnie-jo - Thank you! I had to think vanilla thoughts to keep my mind on the plot.

ddon - We do hear a lot of his music, but I'm not sure if Ron has any on CD. The Beatles were the stars in my teen years.

Ronnie - Yes, pretty tame, but then, this was the 50s :)

Red - Welcome back! You say the sweetest things! I'll suggest that to Ron and see what happens.

Hugs,
Hermione

It sounds like the drummer performed one hell of a self spanking, even if it was on his thigh.

So last night...it was freezing out. As I waited for my car to warm up, I played my thigh as drums to the song on the radio. It helped me stop shivering...and it made me think of you. :)

Prefectdt - He sure did. I would like to see the marks.

Bonnie-jo - That was a great idea. I'll have to remember it next time I'm cold.

Hermione
