Friday FAIL

Just when you hoped it would go away, the "book that shall not be named" is in the news once more.

No wonder Charlie Hunnam changed his mind about playing Christian Grey.

A little juvenile, but here are Fifty Shades of Toast, just in time for breakfast.

Coming to a theatre near you, the Fifty Shades parody is making its way across North America, to mixed reviews.

My friend is an MD. He removed an orange that was stuck inside a female.

Thanks for sharing,

The doc must have been an ENT. We have not been bothered by 50 Shades. In fact, were it not for spanking blogs we would still be ignorant of it.

I've actually seen "Spank."

While it doesn't have any active spanking in it- it took great fun in poking at the book-that-shall-not-be-named. It was, surprise!, highly amusing.

Hermione,

I saw the ads for "Spank!" back in July in Atlantic City--it was showing where we stayed just a few days after we were leaving. Going into AC I saw a billboard for it, and went "what the hell, did that say what I think it did?!?" Tried to get pics of another billboard but my vanilla sister-in-law asked what I was taking pics out the window for(yikes!)...but since it was playing where we stayed there were lots of ads up for it that I was able to get pics of. I forgot about it until I saw it here :)

Please note that "Spank" is well acted and may be a fun play to watch, that despite its name, there is no spanking in "Spank".

Ms. James certainly is enjoying the fruits of her labor. She has received more than the usual 15 minutes of fame

Roz - I suppose people sould be more careful trying bondage for the first time.

Joey - An orange? OMG! A banana, maybe, but...

Bogey - There seems to be a take-off on the title in the daily papers at least once a week.

M - Cool! I wonder if it has the same appeal for those who haven't read it.

Sugar - Welcome! I guess you didn't get to see it in AC :(

anon - No spanking? Shucks!

Ronnie - I really can't imagine, unless it was done against his will. Was that in the book? I haven't read it either.

Leigh - Way too much fame, considering the quality of the writing.

Hugs,
Hermione

I don't think any self-respecting actor would want to be associated with that dreck. I wonder who will finally sink to that level and take the role?

Erica - How about someone who's relatively unknown and wants the supposed instant fame and fortune? Even bad publicity is better than no publicity.

Hermione

We were in Las Vegas 10 days ago, and someone (who's name will remain anonymous) wanted to see Spank, instead of O by Cirque de Solei. Well, to say we made the wrong choice was an understatement. At least we saw Penn and Teller the day before.
