  1. These undergarments may be a Fail for you Heromine, but cone bras and tight sweaters were in fashion when I was in the seventh grade. No wonder I got a D in Math

  2. Is it from one of these deflating that we get the expression "bust"?

  3. Bogey - I remember them too, but didn't think you had to inflate them. Shame on you for not keeping your eyes on your textbook:-)

    Karl - Quite possibly:-)

  4. Hermione, with that interesting advertisement, you gave us all a 'bum steer'. 'a bust in the mouth', or as Gilbert and Sullivan, once said "Tit Willow, Tit Willow, Tit Willow".

  5. When I was younger (a lot younger) I bought one of those pointy bras. Thinking about it now must have looked silly on me.

  7. Six - You made me laugh and cry! My grandfather - who performed in several G&S operettas - used to sing that song to me.

Ronnie - Lucky you! I only had the flat kind. I'm sure you looked very fashionable.

Sarah - But you'd bounce right back up again in these:-)

    Hermione

  8. It's a fail, alright! Gads. But I guess they thought it was enhancing. NOT!

  9. Good grief. Since when is it sexy to have boobs that look like inverted Sno-Cones??

  11. Didn't Al-Qaeda feel dumb when their order arrived and they realized their mistake.

  12. Bobby Jo - I guess they did, back then.

Erica - LOL! You'd better ask the men that. Apparently it was, once upon a time.

Daisy - It could be. There's nothing new under the sun, so Gaultier probably borrowed the idea from the fifties.

Prefectdt - ROFL! Two secret missiles not so well hidden.

  13. Hermione, I am pleased that I brought back some nostalgic memories when I mentioned Gilbert and Sullivan. They were the Rodgers and Hammerstein of their day. I recently saw H.M.S. Pinafore, performed by the Folksbeine Theatre Group, transalated into 'Yiddishe' (Jewish). And excellent sold out performance.

  14. Ha, wow! You'd think they'd make them round, not cone shaped.

  15. Six - That show must have been a blast!

Lea - I agree, but if you watch Mad Men you'll see cones everywhere.

    Hugs,
    Hermione
