The benefits of a good caning

Caning isn't just for fun and games. There's scientific proof that it can be beneficial to your health.

Several years ago, Siberian scientists hypothesized that addiction to alcohol and narcotics, as well as depression, suicidal thoughts and psychosomatic diseases, occur when an individual loses his or her interest in life. The absence of the will to live is caused with decreasing production of endorphins - the substance that is known as the "hormone of happiness".

After careful study of the available literature on endorphins, depression and addiction, they came to the conclusion that if an addict individual receives a physical punishment like caning, it will stir up endorphin receptors, activate the “production of happiness” and eventually remove the craving for the addictive substance.

They them set out to test their theory on drug addicts who volunteered to take part in the experiment. The recommended course of therapy was 30 sessions of 60 strokes on the buttocks in every procedure. The results were described as excellent.

The doctor in charge of the study noted that "the whipping therapy becomes much more efficient when a patient receives the punishment from a person of the opposite sex. The effect is astounding: the patient starts seeing only bright colors in the surrounding world, the heartache disappears, although it will take a certain time for the buttocks to heal, of course."

One of the women who administered the caning said of the 10 patients she caned regularly to test the results, "At first they didn't like it, but when they started to feel the benefits they kept asking for more."

Any volunteers for a followup study?

  1. I've read of that experiment several times over the years and I've wondered if it were true. And I have also wished there was a followup to confirm the results of that experiment--in some place outside of Siberia.

  2. Meeeeee! :)
I have to say, we played around with the cane....... and cigarettes. I'm still smoking. The thought of another 'experiment' is interesting. 60 strokes you say? Scary. But fascinating.

  3. Mick - It was an old story, but I though some readers might not have seen it before.

Dee - 60 is really a lot, but obviously a remedy, albeit more painful than the patch.

  4. When I was a kid, our milk was delivered by truck to our home. Perhaps I could be a traveling canner visiting the homes of needy lasses.

4244 Llyde Rd, a hand spanking followed by 30 with the wippy cane on the bare in the study.

  5. I think the endorphin rush after a spanking with any implement is a terrific feeling. Thank you for sharing Hermione.

  6. Hermione, leaving the scientific proof out. I have always believed a good caning does, wonders for both the woman who receives one, on her bare bottom, and the gentleman, who gives them to her.

  7. Bogey - That would be a wonderful public service. And would you put out a pair of knickers beside the empty bottles the night before?

    Joey - Yes, it's a glorious sensation.

Six - You are correct, Sir.

    Kaki - A little excessive, I think.

Ronnie - Glad to hear it. Cheaper than Weight Watchers too!

  11. Thank you. I had never read it. But I knew it. I knew there was something about caning :)

  12. hm... i'm not sure it's only caning.

seems i've pretty much abandoned the smoking now. after all that hmming and hawing.

and you know, the times i've felt inclined to get back on a ciggy have been when the spankings have been lacking.

    so there's definitely a link i say.

    thanks for this story.

  13. Emen - It certainly gets your attention! And I imagine the endorphin rush would really be something.

Fondles - Congratulations for giving up the evil weed! I like the idea of spanking whenever the craving hits. Thanks for proving the research to be accurate.

  14. This made quite an "impression" a few years back. But, until there are confirming studies, it will really be just a nice fantasy. There was a video out that was produced about it.

Without followup, as far as therapy goes, it's just a hypothesis.

  15. Anon - really? I'd love to see the video.

  16. Is not being in Siberia punishment enough, but alas.. no endorphins...
Spankos like us can attest tot he endorphin theory.. Spankings solve many problems, and put a happier grin on our face afterwards.

  18. I suffered from clinical depression for many years. Pills only made my brain foggy. I am by nature a submissive and so I went to a Dom lady. I was well strapped to a caning bench and many strokes of a rattan cane were administered in a very professional way, with a slow build up, some pauses and finally some extremely hard strokes. After the caning the Dom lady was caring as I relaxed from the caning. My depression was entirely lifted for many days. Now I attend for a caning regularly! It does relieve depression.
