Suspants, Suspender pants - before my day and certainly before your day. http://lingeriehistory.blogspot.com/2010/05/suspants-panty-garter-saves-day.html
When I was a lad, what drove me mad was that they'd show only the front, never the side, let alone the rear (ahem) view. Come to think of it, maybe it's just as well they didn't.
Cute pictures.
ReplyDeleteThank you,
joey

Joey - Thank you.
ReplyDeleteOBB - I've never seen those before, thanks. You would think they would slide down with the pull of the stockings, but I guess not.
Hugs,
Hermione
That's what I call industrial strength panties!
ReplyDeleteLove the last picture. The rest wouldn't get me to buy the product so they are definitely fails.
ReplyDeleteI loved that last picture, too. Very cute. Happy Friday.
ReplyDeleteHow cute is that little puppy peeping tom? Those panties look horrible. I like my boy shorts :D
ReplyDeleteLOL. I wouldn't want my bum to look all creased.
ReplyDeleteSuspants - yes OBB is right. I think around in the 1950.
Love,
Ronnie
xx
Nice pictures, love the puppy!
ReplyDeleteGlad I'm not expected to wear one of those torture gadgets.
Fails, all right.
Mick - Rosie the Riveter style!
ReplyDeleteSunnygirl - The ads don't make the product very appealing.
SNP - Happy Friday to you too.
Lilli - At least the naughty puppy is blushing!
Ronnie - Maybe they never made it to Canada.
Bas - Men are so lucky not to have to worry about such things.
Hugs,
Hermione
I don't even like puppies, and that is adorable. :D
ReplyDeleteAna - Well, that says something about the power of advertising.

Some of those longer-leg panties are WONDERFUL! I use them to prevent chafing thighs under skirts and dresses, and I could HUG the designers.
ReplyDeleteNow that is what I call armor!
ReplyDeleteFriday fail perhaps
ReplyDeleteI remember the time when this was all I had
:)

Ricky - You are right. The front view seems to be the norm.
ReplyDeleteTerri - They do serve a useful purpose and I see your point.
Minelle -Thou shalt not pass!
Emanuele - The old colour catalogues were full of this sort of stuff.
