Buttwear, anyone?

Yoko Ono has come up with a collection of menswear based on a series of drawings she sketched as a gift for Lennon for their wedding day in 1969. Ono said she the illustrations were designs for clothing and accessories to celebrate Lennon’s “hot bod.”

Among other items are a white wool and padded mesh Cutout Trouser

It's also available in black

and this is the butt hoodie

The Opening Ceremony video is an animation inspired by the 1969 drawings Ono made for her late husband as a wedding present.

  4. um....I can't imagine these going over in Canada, emergency rooms would be filled with frostbitten bums - doctors would be furious - the health care system would be overburden.......hasn't Yoko Ono caused enough trouble?

  5. Well, it beats the style the kids have of wearing their pants so low they have to hold them up in the crotch in order to walk.

Unfortunately, most of the times the butts you would like to see wearing those types of pants are not the ones you would see.

  7. Sorry, but that logo does not look like a butt. At all. Yoko is doing a serious disservice by insinuating that her husband's butt looked like a ball sack. :(

  8. I can't imagine very many people taking this collection seriously, let alone paying 75 to 600 dollars for these ummmm fashions?
    But very entertaining. lol

  9. I always wonder how the economy of these would-be fashion things works. It's obviously that the sales will be very close to zero.
Even in our butt oriented community nobody wants them.
Who is going to pay for the cost of the presentation?
I think this fashion is a good candidate for Friday Fail.

  10. Roz - I wouldn't wear those cutouts either, and I'm not a prude either.

Joey - That makes two of us!

Red - An eye-catching look, for sure.

Lillie - Frostbitten bums - LOL! These are only for warmer climates.

Sunny - I agree, that baggy style is awful. But you'd probably see far too much with these.

Ronnie - That seems to be the view of the majority.

Jessa - I think John's drawings - weird though they were - are better than hers.

    C - It's only a big deal because of Yoko's name attached.

Bas - I guess it would have been better as a FAIL. Oh, well, too late!

    Hugs,
    Hermione

  12. It made me laugh, and I'd wear the pants for My Man, but it is silly...and do you wear them without undies?? :)

I don't think the design looks like a butt either....

  13. I had some nylon trousers like that once. I sat on a hot ember.

  14. Minelle - The hand was there in one of the pictures, but it didn't fit the "butt" theme of this post so I cropped it out.

Young Lady - I think wearing them without panties is the way they were designed. I might wear them for my man too, but not on the street.

    Gary - Ouch!!!

    Hugs,
    Hermione
