Years ago I was walking about downtown London (UK) taking in the sights and stores. Saw an alley with a bunch of tables with people selling all kinds of "stuff". I'm browsing and this kid (16?) comes and and speaks to me. It was English, of a sort, but I could not understand a word he said. Asked him to slow down and repeat. Same result. I had to give up; accent was just too strong.
