It's a fine day for a drive in the country, but each small village we pass has an ominous sign that warns us to keep moving.
I'm happy to tell you that we arrived home safely. Next time we'll plan a different route.

ReplyDeleteI’ve seen signs similar to the second, somewhere in northern Nevada or eastern Oregon I think.
When I went to Kenya, on a trail to a waterfall, there was the tiniest sign about watching out for lions. In the US, it would have been 12 feet tall I’m sure.

Those kind of towns are where the locals tell you "Don't stray off the path". I have seen them so many times in old Hammer horror films :)

All great reminders that life is not always a skip and a jump over a rainbow. LOL And these reminded me also of the disclaimers at the end of those TV drug ads: "Don't take such&such if you have x,y, or z. Suchh&such can cause liver failure, diarrhea, suicidal thoughts, and in some cases death." LOL
