Guess the Implement

We haven't played this game for a while so it's high time we had another round.




What could this be, and what kind of impact might it have on the unsuspecting bottom?

    Hermione,

    I do enjoy your "Guess the Implement" posts even though I don't think I've got one right yet:)

    Could it be a bath loofah? If it is, wouldn't think it would have much of an impact on a bottom.

    A corn cob that has been laquored. Nice thuddy toy that could bruise if applied properly.

    Is that wicker or rattan. If so, I'm thinking either for honey or butter. Lilli says a spurtle, but I have no idea what a spurtle.

    It looks fierce though and not something I would want used on my bottom unless it is really made of foam rubber.

    Abby - It is rather honeycomb-like, but no.

    Lill Ian - Ah, you reminded me of the Galloping Gourmet (Graham Kerr) who introduced spurtles to North American audiences.

    I think it is a meat tenderizer made of wood. I would use it to hammer steaks and other beef.

    The only way I would want it warming my bottom is by placing it in a fireplace for kindling.

    I was also going to say that it looks like a corn on a cob on a stick...wrapped in plastic or something. I'm guessing it wouldn't hurt that much, but maybe that is only my optimism. :D
