A Delightful Dozen

Twelve years ago today I celebrated my birthday by starting this blog. Who knew that a dozen years later, I would still be blogging, or that I would have formed so many friendships with people who share my interest in percussive activity. You, dear readers, have made my journey a delight. Thank you.

To celebrate, Ron is taking me to one of our favourite restaurants. Later...who knows?

    Congratulations.

    I asked my girlfriend (now wife) Irene to give me a birthday spanking in 1980. It seemed to be a slightly less kinky way to ask for a spanking.

    At some point I explained that it was sexier for me if I didn’t ask and in fact pretended it was against my will for some imaginary transgression or a whole pattern of behavior. Irene probably enjoys spanking me even more than I do these days. She’s confessed she like to make it hurt (though not to any extremes).

    I wonder how many folks have used a birthday spanking (where’d that tradition come from anyway?) as a bridge to a more permanent spanking relationship.
