Friday FAIL

More spelling mishaps from around the interwebs.

So that's the secret of those popular blogs that get thousands of hits a day.

A typo or a little help from AutoCorrect?

This is downright scary. Where was this software made?

Sometimes it's just not worth the effort.

Curse you, AutoCorrect!

  1. Pity autocorrect doesn't have a spankable bottom, it would get a right walloping.
Yep as I suspected - it tried to autocorrect spankable too :)

  4. Hermione,

Very funny, but also a little scary.

I really hate auto correct when I am typing in a word verification for a comment while using my iPhone or iPad.

  5. DelFonte - Too funny! Spankable must not be in Blogger's vocabulary.

    Callie - Me too!

    Abby - Very sad.

Joey - that would be SO annoying!

    Hugs,
    Hermione

  7. I do hate auto correct.

I must confess to using "quickie" spellings when I'm texting.

    Definitely Friday Fails though

  10. Years ago I bought myself a book. It has been a very well used book, I have read it many, many times. It is called a DICTIONARY. Don't they make these any more ?
By the way Hermione, I loved your comment on my blog, you're as cheeky as I am. 'back into the swing of things'. Good one.
    Kind regards

    Gary.

  11. Ha! Maybe I should start making typos in my blog. :-)

I think Autocorrect blows -- never use it and have disabled it on my phone. As I mentioned before, it turned Erica into Pericardium.

And you're right, it's not worth the time trying to correct people. Unless they want to be corrected, of course.

  12. I definitely can tell the auto-correct on my new phone is different than any other I've ever run across. It's stubbornly stupid.

I think I would choose being fired over being Fred still working for the nimnoid boss. Me've worked 4 2 many of those loooosers. ;-)

  13. I have a hard time texting quickly so I use shortcuts now! (shame on me) It may also have something to do with the 'OLD as the earth' cell phone I use after flushing my iphone down the toilet.

  14. I loathe auto correct. I think the programmers needed auto correct while programming it.

  15. Roz - I've never seen Me've anywhere before.

Sunny - So do I. It's very annoying.

Ronnie - Thanks. They're my favourite kind of FAIL.

Kenzie - What a jerk that boss is.

Gary - Yes, they do still make dictionaries. I have several different ones.

Glad you picked up on my little innuendo about H. :D

Erica - It's annoying on my iPad too. I'm currently doing an editing job for someone whose first language is not English. The spelling is quite creative at times.

Irishey - I agree; boss is a loser.

Minelle - Shortcuts are handy sometimes. I once dropped my phone into a toilet. It was a work phone so I had to retrieve it. Yuck!

    Tara - I quite agree!

    Hugs,
    Hermione

  16. Cute the text where he abbreviated things reminded me of my text to my brother..he hates when I do it and says I can't spell... As for the typos on the blog if that is true I should have 1000 hits lol
