Recap: Spanko Brunch 2.0 for October 26

Do your spankings include warm-ups?

Norse Cavalier: All of the spankings I give include warm-up. The spankee can take a far harder spanking with a good warm-up first. For new spankees, it will make their first spanking far less scary. And for punishment spankings, it lets me pull out the heavier implements.

Roz: I would say a warm-up is included in all spankings as they tend to start less intense and slowly build up from there. The intensity often also varies during the spanking, to keep me guessing and on my toes.

Rosco: Well, yes and no. Irene is whimsical, not methodical. She likes to make it hurt (she confesses), but only to a certain degree. I’ve explained that the bottom absorbs spankings differently after a warm up and she understands that in her head but doesn’t fully get it.

So some spankings begin with decided enthusiasm, I.e. no warm up. But she’ll back off when I react with extreme kicking of the legs - I try not to yell.

As spankees know, it’s especially intense when one’s bottom is cold - e.g. if you’ve been out on a winter’s day before said spanking. Those whacks just hurt - it’s harder to savor the experience.

Glenmore: Nope! She gets right down to business.

Jack: If you mean getting a spanking then having to stand in the corner, knowing the spanking is not over, that could be a warm up.

Bonnie: Sometimes I get a warm-up. Other times, Randy prefers full power from the first swat. As shocking as the latter approach is, I can accept a longer, harder spanking if it is preceded by a warm-up. He knows this, so that warm-up is not necessarily a kindness.

A fast and furious start feels like corporal punishment and puts me in that familiar headspace. I love to be the bad girl across his lap receiving correction for my most recent transgression.

A more gradual build up feels more like play, even if it doesn't conclude that way. In this case, I am well aware that spankings are supposed to hurt and they always do. But I get to wonder what's next.

Wendel: No warm-up here. It is a good spanking from start to finish.

Barrel: It depends. If we are using a spanking as a prelude to intimacy, most often she starts slower and with a smaller count, pauses and then the next sets are more intense and with a higher quantity. I usually get two to four sets with whatever implement she wants to use.
If we have a planned session, there is no warm-up, other than some caressing of my white, unblemished skin...a blank canvas, she likes to say. Then the implements come into play and we are off. As everyone knows, a hard thrashing right from the beginning is nasty, and a cold caning is the worst, but if that is what she has planned, I can only endure.

Predfectdt: It depends on what you define as a warm-up. With most things I can go straight into proper play now, unlike when I was younger. But with harsher toys, like a rattan cane, for example, It is better if they are not the first thing out of the box. So it can be supposed that the other spanking toys used before that are a sort of a warm-up for the hard stuff. A cold caning is hard to take. Other than that, if the other participant is a first time or inexperienced spanker, then I might encourage them to start easy and work on their accuracy first and their intensity of stroke, once they have mastered a good aim. So that kind of play can have a sort of calmer start to it.

Dan: No, Anne is pretty binary in her spanking approach. From the first swat, it's hard and at a deliberate, fairly fast pace.

Anon: Always!!! When on either side of the lap.
I don’t give/believe in punishment spankings, and certainly would not accept one (although, at certain times the Grande Finale! has been a little “vigorous”, if you know what I mean. Often “ memorable”.)

All is a prelude to ‘intimacy.’

Hermione: Not an actual warm-up. but Ron always starts off with a pretty mild implement, then moves on to the more severe ones.
