51% of the United States Register Voters have spoken. Women will no longer have control of their bodies, Revenge will begin prior to taken office, a Dictatorship will be, democracy will not longer be, the rich will get tax breaks.
They say Ignorance is Bliss, the Bliss have spoken and we cannot ask God or Jesus for help because the Religious Leaders supported Trump.
I would wait until Canada ditches it's current Dictatir and Autocrat Justin Trudeau. Canada is a mess right now .

But I also think we (who lean left) should ask ourselves hard questions about why people didn’t vote for Kamala.
We will see the freedoms guaranteed by the US Constitution, and prosperity return. We will be able to believe the information disseminated by the Executive Branch again. The IRS, CIA, FBI, and DOJ will not lie to us and be used to persecute those that oppose POTUS. Nov. 5, 2024 returned freedom to the USA. Given the oppressive government of Canada, I don't see how any Canadian can criticize what we have just done.

I kind of saw this coming. To me, the 50/50 polling beforehand kind of screamed Trump would win. I voted for Harris but I see why others didn't however, I DO have a sort of personal issue brewing that is going to make certain holidays like Veterans Day, Memorial Day, and the 4th difficult for me. The people who switched over to vote for Trump likely did so because of inflation, as is their right and privilege. However, should these same people claim to be "patriots" on these days, I will be fuming. These days celebrate sacrifice for principle. These people will claim to honor these past extreme sacrifices of life and limb while they themselves would not resist a potential dictator just so they could possibly have cheaper prices. They could not even make the sacrifice of slightly more expensive bacon. I will now and forever refer to these people as "Bacon Patriots": people who felt sacrificing respect for law and the Constitution was worth it as long as bacon ends up cheaper. Years from now, if things go to shit, some kid will ask their parent why things are they way they are, and they will have to say, "yes, things are bad now, but you have to understand, my dear little one, your grandpa REALLY liked his bacon. "
I guess 51% decided it was ok to elect a convicted felon as President of the strongets nation in the free world. We will enjoy no such freedoms from now on. Women have no rights over their bodies. We are now a Western branch of the Taliban. Freedom of speach is gone unless you are inline with dictator orange. This is not the United States any longer. How long before Putin joins his cabinet?

Fascism has been on the rise here for decades now. Most Americans don't know or care one way or the other. What we fought against in WWII is ancient history. American government, history and ideals are at best vague to them. The right would prefer to keep Americans ignorant and disengaged, but the millions who do pay attention to something have been mobilized by the billionaire right-wing media machine that has convinced them they are victims. Many go along because of what is socially acceptable in their small circles, and many outright want a fascist dictatorship that will carry out what is in their hearts. The activists are lawless and will pose the largest personal danger to those of us who openly embrace the liberalism they despise. Since the beginning, Americans have had to fight for the limited and imperfect democracy we've had. We're losing that battle.
I am absolutely delighted by the results of our recent election. After 3 3/4 years of demonstrated either incompetence and/or malevolence to destroy my country, we now have a president with a history of competence and patriotism. I have been following your web site or many years. You have my sympathy for your living in the now totalitarian government of Turdo. I am a retired OB/GYN, a former Naval officer, and an armed citizen. The USA remains the freest natio0n on the face of the earth.
You write and express yourself like you have a 4th grade education. I doubt the claims of your "resume"...but if true, pity your former (probably dead) patients, the waste of taxpayer money for your "military" career and your family.
Your patriot openly disrespects the military and those who have died for their country. He is a self-serving, convicted felon, proven thief and con man who lies and cheats on his taxes, while his record clearly shows he has never respected the law of the land. He backs a ruthless war criminal, and seeks to weaken our allies in Europe. He's a known national security risk. He lost an election, schemed to overthrow the government, and sat by for hours while law enforcement serving this country, members of his own party, and his own VP's lives were in danger. Even his own party, for a few days, had the courage to speak the truth. Only in some future under a dictatorship where his power is completely unchecked, will everyone be forced to call him a "patriot."
I'd ask if you have no shame, but I already have the answer to that.
