This week we discussed punishment spankings that were deserved but not given.

Bonnie: I think I deserve a spanking most days, but I don't always get it.

Wendel: The only time spankings are not given is if one of us is sick. Otherwise, if a spanking is deserved, needed or wanted it is given. 

Roz: I can't remember specifics now but there have been a couple of occasions I really thought a spanking was forthcoming but it didn't happen. 

Prefectdt: Punishment spankings don't really work for me. Even ones that were far too severe at the time give me fond memories later. This has left me curious about in DD and Ds relationships and how it works for them. I hope that one or two of them might take part in this week's brunch. It would be interesting to hear their take on this subject.

Rosco: If Irene is really annoyed with me, she’ll ignore me. Spanking is the last think she’ll do.

All my spankings involve fictional transgressions pretty much related to ogling schoolgirls as a teen - guilty memories that I’ve shared with her. She’s adopted these fantasies as her own it seems, and maybe there’s a bit of real anger mixed in with the sexual as she spanks me. She likes to make it hurt, she admits - and indeed it does.

But there have been times when I’ve really craved a good spanking and she’s busy or distracted or just not in the mood. Now that the kids are grown and gone, there’s no pressure to squeeze activities into a narrow time slot, so it hasn’t been a problem lately.

"What was her name?"

Susan.

"And if Susan was standing here, what would you tell her?"

I was wrong. Endless apologies. A regret I had held for years. Forgiveness.

"So this is long overdue. And it needs to be addressed. Today. Now. For your sake. Now, am I to be your mother - or Susan?"

Susan. (God - not my mother!)

She holds me by my elbow and takes me to a row of implements, considers what I did, and picks out a small paddle and a small strap.

"Susan" led me to her spanking chair, took me OTK, bared my bottom, and hand spanked me. I'm guessing 250-350 smacks by her (hard) hand. I was a nice red-pink. After the hand-spanks, a pause, small talk...then:

Smiling, I told her I did.

Did it help? At the moment, yes. On reflection, no; it should have come from actual "Susan." But it had to do.

Part 2:

"Was there an alternative punishment, or did the issue get resolved in another way?"

I'm going to flip this and bring up "issues resolved in another way."

Years ago. From early November, thru Thanksgiving, the Christmas holidays, New Years, travel, job, finances, friends, family and it all became overwhelming. Mid-January I'm thinking that what I needed was to be taken otk and spanked to a nice pink - and that might, at least, get my mind in order.

And, given the time and place - I had no one to provide that "therapy." Nothing happened. In a couple more weeks it all went away. The world was back to spinning in the right direction.

Mark: I've been spanked a couple of times when I've been moping around a bit blue, not knowing what to do next, and she's got sick of it. But, there have been many more times when she didn't but she should have! In each instance it would have been good for both of us.   

Luvinhub: There were many times that I deserved a spanking and did not get one. Usually that meant that she didn't feel like giving me a spanking and it was more of a silent treatment. Also, most times when I did get a spanking it wasn't as much as I deserved. Looking back I would say I was just at the point of wishing it was over when my wife stopped; that is probably when she should have doubled her efforts.

To answer your question Perfectdt, I was in a WLM with DD and punishment spankings worked. However, thinking about a spanking beforehand got me aroused and later thinking of the memory aroused me. But I assure you if I was aroused and hard before the spanking I was no longer aroused and there was no more erection.  

Hermione: I usually deserve one, but it's up to Ron to determine what punishment fits the crime.

Recap: Spanko Brunch 2.0 for May 18

We discussed the first encounter with an implement.

Jack: My wife/mommy when we were dating used her hand until her mother showed up when I was being spanked. She knew her daughter had spanked me and it was a week before the wedding. I was over her lap, thankful to still have my underpants on. My future mother-in-law did not even sit down, she reached in her purse and it was a large hairbrush which she handed to her daughter and then she told her daughter spankings are on the bare bottom and she removed my underpants. That hairbrush hurt like hell and it was landed hard and fast. I danced around not caring all was on display until told to face the wall. A wedding gift from my mother-in-law was a bath brush, that long handle really warms my bare bottom today.

Rosco: I’m not certain, but I remember early on going to the Western store and buying a riding crop. There were no kink friendly shops in the early 80s.

I was trying to casually peruse the basket of crops thinking about what I might say if asked why I was purchasing it, when a buxom salesgirl approached. She told me the longer leather model was not necessary and the the small nylon crop hurt plenty. Then for a brief moment she lifted it as if to swat me before laughing it off.

It wasn’t a missed opportunity/fantasy as her serious looking boss was not far away, but it’s still something I think about now and then.

I bought both crops.

Norse Cavalier: The first item I ever used on a spankee was a paddle or strap or something at a BDSM event. I don't remember what it was and I didn't own it, so I have no idea where it is.

The first implement of my own was a clothes brush, purchased especially for this use. I still own it and use it as often as I can - though only for punishment spankings, since it's too severe for fun play.

Prefectdt: The first implement used on me during an adult spanking, which happened during my first spanking as an adult, was a tawse. This was a bit of a tradition in my hometown in the UK, as the schools in that town used the tawse rather than the cane, for corporal punishment. Even though I come from England rather than Scotland. It was not purchased especially for that incident. The owner had had that particular tawse, as well as a few others, for several years.   

Barrel: Like Rosco, ours was a 16" riding crop. I think they called it a bat, purchased from a western store. It has since given way to items with more impact.

A.J.: "The first implement, other than a hand, that you used...?"
My hand hurt (her tush was like leather!) so I had her get off my lap and find something in her apt. for me to use on her. Her panties were still at half-mast and I told her to leave them there. The sight of her duck-waking away from me - what a memory! She came back with a small leather strap thing. Never used it again - unless my hand hurt.

"...or had used on you?"

I was being a wise-ass (and stupid) in a rural antiques store and found an ancient small paddle once used to put bread into fireplace ovens. Loud and proud, I told her I could use this on her to protect my hand. Not amused. Bought the paddle; and as soon as we got home...!!!  

S: The first spanking implement I made was a wooden paddle made from some thin tightly grained light wood. It was very stingy and I remember it broke when I was paddling a particularly naughty woman. 

Roz: Our first spanking implement was a heavy wooden spoon purchased with spanking in mind. This was then followed by a leather paddle.

KDPierre: A yellow plastic bath brush that eventually broke at the neck, but which I saved as a nostalgic token/souvenir of my first step into what became a very long lifestyle. And while a common, seemingly vanilla item, it was bought for that purpose.

FL: A hairbrush, still my favourite. Can't beat the classics!

Anon: Paint stirring stick.

Donn: When the Wife and I were just getting started, she wanted a paddle to practice with. I fabricated a paddle out of 1/2" thick black nylon plank, about 16" long by 3" wide at the business end.

Yes, it was very effective, especially with an thin extended handle that gave her a lot of leverage. (Kind of like a nylon-shaped bath brush, without the bristles.

In the end, it cause her chronic wrist-injury too much discomfort. (The paddle was transferred to the scrap-plastic bin in my workshop, and eventually cut into smaller pieces for other miscellaneous projects.) 

Hermione: We were doing some redecorating, and when we bought the paint we were given a free paint stirrer. The more I used it during our painting sessions, the more I wanted to feel it on my bottom. So the next time we went paint shopping, I put the new stirrer aside. When the time was right, I told Ron of my desire, and he happily complied. He eventually painted it gold and called it the "Golden Paddle". We still have it, although it's pretty tame in comparison to most of our current implements.

What does the spanker say to indicate the spanking is over?

Bonnie: Frequently, Randy will finish with a flourish (imagine the grand finale of a fireworks show), announce "OK, you're done," straighten my skirt, and then help me back to my feet

Once in a while, he will ask me whether I need another spanking/harder spanking/the hairbrush/some other diabolical bottom beating punishment. I almost always decline so as not to insult his previous efforts. Well, that, and I am already plenty sore by this stage.

Norse Cavalier: If it's a punishment spanking, I can say something like "Shh, it's over now. You took that very bravely. Come here," followed by a hug.

If it's a fun spanking, she lets me know when it's enough, usually by saying "That's enough" or "I'd like to stop now" or something like that. I tend to like clear communication.

Rosco: Irene will give me some sort of instruction.

Last night she gave me a bedtime spanking. I’d already gotten in bed, she told me to get up and onto the massage table (which we often use for such purposes), spanked me with a leather strap then told me to get back in bed.

Sometimes Irene will order me to stand in the corner. More often she’ll demand that I massage her feet, which might include filing down her sexy callouses.

KDPierre: There are no nuanced or cute codes with us. She will either tell me we're done or stop long enough for me to ask if she is. Sometimes she says 'yes', and other times she will say, "no, just taking a break" or worse, "we're done for now, but you have more coming". 

Wendel: If the Misses says anything it will be stuff like “You’re done” or “That will teach you.” Most times it just ends. I do not have sayings or comments. When I am done spanking her it is over.  

CEM: I simply tell her to stand up and to go stand bare bottom exposed, facing the corner...I like the view. :)

Roz: For us it varies, often times it's actions rather than words that signal to me the spanking is over, such as pulling me back up to stand, or it may be some instruction that indicates the spanking part of proceedings is over.

Dan: It's usually something simple like, "I think that's enough," or "You can get up."

Prefectdt: There have been so many spankers over the years, and they all called the end in their own way. Every thing from a simple “You're done now” to one spanker who would go really hard, with an American style paddle, until I was forced to safe word. There are just too many variants to list them all.

Hermione: Ron doesn't say anything. He just puts the paddle down and begins the logical follow-on of intimacy.

Is there an article of clothing that simply cries out "Spank me"?

KDPierre: No, nothing we currently own would instantly trigger a spanking, but I imagine if I purchased a T-shirt that read: "My wife is a crazy bitch!" and put it on before going out with her somewhere that I wouldn't end up driving to whatever rendezvous we had planned in an entirely different shirt and sitting on a stinging bottom. ;-)

Rosco: Many.

I’ve bought Irene several items of clothing for our role play. A dirndl, a matching tennis outfit, a fifties style country girl dress, a leather bra etc. if she puts on any of these I know what’s to follow.

And sometimes she’ll instruct me to put on a pair of lacy panties or my nightgown. A spanking might ensue immediately or I might wear the panties all day and be spanked in the evening. I also bought a hat for regular use, but Irene decided it looked like it belonged to a German schoolboy and so it has inspired a few spankings.

Wendel: The Misses has one particular pair of jeans that makes her butt scream “Spank Me Now!” Also, when she walks around the house without pants her panties tend to cry out for a spanking. In both cases I am eager to oblige.

Roz: No specific item of clothing, but wearing some sexy lingerie usually does the trick 😊

Prefectdt: Not really. It works better the other way round for me. If I am guaranteed a spanking, I will almost always wear one of my man thongs. Just so that that bare bottomed thing can go on without my boy bits bouncing around. As most of my spankings are for play rather than part of a sexual interaction, it just seems like good manners. I am happy to get spanked without them, if the Top or Domme so requests it.

Jack: I showed this to my wife/mommy, she said clothing plays no part when I need a spanking. She then reminded me that when she says to get my pajamas on no matter time of day means what? I say a spanking.
