It's (S)no(w) Joke!

We have been inundated with the white stuff this week. While waiting for the snow to stop, I've been working on a volunteer project, so no time for blogging. Then the blizzard passed and we were out all day yesterday, shoveling and praying that the city plow wouldn't drive by and block our driveway with any more snow.

But I still love Canada.

Wednesday WIN

As of last week, because of the recent increase in covid-19 cases, everyone in my city as well as a good deal of the surrounding countryside must wear a mask in all public buildings. "Mask required" signs are in the windows of all the shops. Because we are Canadians, we don't complain about our civil rights being violated; we simply obey. Two weeks ago, when I went to the beer store, not one person waiting in either of the lines (one line for people returning empties and one line for no empties) wore a mask. Last Sunday, everyone's face was covered.

Regular reader Boru sent me these funny mask pictures and I hope they brighten your day.

Thanks Boru!

Friday FUN

It's been a long time since I posted Anne Taintor pictures here, so let's have fun with this oh-so-liberated lady from the Fifties.

Happy Friday!

Friday FUN

For most of us, the focal point of the human body is the bottom. The majority of  US citizens agree with us.

But not so in all countries.

Nevertheless, it's still worth a second look.

Friday FUN

My apologies for accidentally publishing this post earlier this week. I need a good spanking for being so careless! For those of you who didn't see it, here it is again on the correct day.

Two news commentators are discussing 50 Shades of Grey when the conversation takes an unexpected turn.

A big thank you to faithful reader Tommy for finding these pictures.

Wednesday WIN

We were walking along a major downtown street, trying to decide where to have dinner, and we passed several places with signs outside.

What a bargain!

No, Ron, we aren't going in there!

I think I want something a little more substantial

How disappointing

It costs less if you're polite.

Translation:
"A coffee" - 7 euros
"A coffee please" - 4.25 euros
"Hello, a coffee please" - 1.40 euros

No mystery there
