Frankly, I don't perceive any "spelling [or] grammar error" in the third example (". . . old folks [using] cursive writing . . .").
“Someday” refers to an unspecified date in the future, which is clearly the writer's intent. ("Some day" refers to a SPECIFIC DAY in the future, which would not fit this context!)
Are we really going to "nitpick" over using "us" versus "we" in this sentence? Yes, "we" would be "formally correct," but frankly "we" sounds awful to my (and I suspect most people's?) ear.
Either "folk" or "folks" is perfectly acceptable, and always have been, to designate the "plural" of the referenced people.
Might you mean that "cursive writing" is "redundant" (and/or "superfluous"), in that "cursive" always refers to written characters?
I'm not a "grammar nerd," but I do care about correct usage.
Donn - Except for the use of "us" instead of "we" I didn't think this was an example of terrible grammar. I just thought anyone over 50 would get a chuckle over it.

Thanks for your perspective, which very much agrees with mine.
