Three years ago I had cataracts removed from both my eyes. Unfortunately, after two years I started having trouble seeing again. I got a referral to a specialist, and after a year-long wait (free healthcare = long wait times) I finally got in to see her. A few tests, some time in a darkened waiting room, then a chat with the specialist and five minutes later, my sight was back to 20/20. Aren't lasers wonderful? Now I'm able to read the signs that I see as I go about my daily duties.
Happy hump day!

Hi Hermione,
So glad to hear the laser treatment went well.
I am about to go through the cataract drama. One surgery private and one public to speed things up. By the time I have the surgery through the public hospital it would have been almost a year for me too. At the moment I can't drive which is a huge hindrance. The private surgery is next Monday then a wait till Nov/Dec for the next.
The signs are hilarious, hard to pick a favourite. Thank you for the laughs:)

I think that the last but one image might not be an error. Having been stuck in some snowy traffic jams, I know it is good to have cake with you and a warm thermos too :)

Hermione,
That's great news. I had a good experience with my cataract operations, though with our US health care system it cost a lot despite having insurance.
Hugs,
Bonnie
Good news on your laser treatment.
Fun signs. Thanks for the laugh.
Love,
Ronnie
