Sweet Mixed Bums

One of the first gifts Ron ever gave me was this jar of sweet mixed bums. It is a real pint preserving jar filled with bums. Here is how it looks from all four sides.

The card attached to the jar contains this sweet little verse:

A jar of bums - all shapes and sizes
Can be quite useful - if need arises

Place in kitchen or bathroom on a shelf
And let every visitor look for him or her self

The neighbour, the teacher, a friend, a brother
Chances are one even looks like your mother!

The "leg man", the "bust man" - try something new
For the "bum man" this jar has been made just for you

It's really quite something - full of surprises
Add scent to the top and it deodorizes!

Whatever your use - it just can't be beat
These bums are for looking - please do not eat!
Not your granny's preserves!

That is too cute! What a conversation starter!

OK you've got me, what are they?

Those are awesome and completely adorable. I can already imagine a marcipan version of them as Christmas present.

Sooo cute!!! Do I want to know what the scent is?

Angel - Yes, especially if I put them on the dinner table with a pickle fork.

Prefectdt - They are made of something very much like what nylon stockings or pantyhose are made of, and stuffed with polyester batting. It's often used to make craft items like dolls.

Miss Jules - You're right - they do look like marzipan. What an awesome idea! Give marzipan bums for Christmas instead of pigs.

Elle - There isn't a scent now, but under the red cover there's a little pad of batting, and you can drop any liquid scent onto it and turn it into a pot pourri.

Hermione, thanks for explaining what they are, I searched but couldn't find anything about them. I thought they were possibly something pickled on first look.

What a great idea marzipan bums.

Ronnie - I thought the inclusion of those little round seeds was a nice touch. Very realistic!
