Spanko Brunch 2.0 #353

Welcome, dear readers, to our weekly discussion. These are stressful times indeed, so how are you coping?

What do you do to relieve stress? Is spanking a significant way to reduce your stress level? Are stress-relief spankings different from spankings given for other reasons? If so, how do they differ?

Please leave your response as a comment. Once everyone has contributed, I will publish an edited summary of our conversation.

There are times when a stress relief spanking is exactly what I need. Randy is surprisingly perceptive about such matters and will sometimes offer a stress relief session before I fully realize that's what I require. For me, a good stress relief spanking is firm and fast, though fairly short in duration. Randy tends to use a solid wooden hairbrush or paddle on such occasions. There is an element of shock while it's happening and I definitely feel the burn for a while afterward. Appropriate aftercare is an important component of any stress relief spanking.

I find that a sore bottom is a small price to pay for the welcome return of emotional peace.

Hiking is our stress relieve. We get far away from everything. No phones, cars, Tvs. Most times we pack a paddle so if we find secluded spot the spankings commence. It is quite relaxing getting paddled in the forrest or by a water fall or stream on the top of a mountain. Painful but relaxing.

Date night is our best stress relief. Rick has only occassionally spanked for stress relief. I have definitely found it helps.

Spanking and associated activities are not my only ways to relieve stress, but they’re the most prominent.

Irene will often whip or paddle me soundly, with a bit of a lecture, then tie me to the bed and leave me for up to an hour or so. Usually I’ll drift off into a blissful nap, until I heard her footsteps returning. Another spanking, more lecture, and she will climb aboard for some reverse cowgirl cunnlingus, followed by intercourse. It’s relaxing and fulfilling at the same time.

We vary the routine sometimes but both seem to thrive with the usual. Go figure.

Walking relieves my stress but spanking also does. A stress spanking is shorter in length than other spankings. P delivers it fast and usually with a paddle It certainly helps.

My wife doesn't administer stress spankings as such. But when I am really stressed I can act out, become curt or unpleasant or disrespectful. She doesn't have much patience with this because she knows a spanking will end it but she usually gives me at least one warning before she acts. The warnings do actually work sometimes but when they don't she takes more direct action and the stress is always replaced with a calmness. So in that sense I do get spanked for stress relief but its my own behavior that causes it

A few years back some stress got to me and I wound up thinking, because I had not had one in quite a while, that what I needed was some otk time to relieve it. The bad part? I was on travel, away from anyone who could give me one.

But I thought it interesting that that thought came to me. Does it work? I don't know, but I thought it would and I always feel different after getting one. The mind being focused elsewhere...

I have never been spanked specifically for stress relief but as a pleasant side effect to every successful spanking, I do find my stress levels lowered. Sometimes for weeks after the event.

On the vanilla front, walking, cycling, boating, photography and being able to spend time travelling to new places all help keep the screaming devils under control.

Post-script to what I posted.

My first girlfriend into spanking loved to be spanked because it was sexy. And so did I, even some time later when she finally announced: "Your turn!!!"

But now I recall that on one or two occasions she asked me to spank her, not for the sexiness of it, but because work stress had gotten to her and she felt she "needed one." Not a sexy one, but one with a little "extra effort" put into it. She wanted to feel it for a while.

It rarely happened, but in her mind it helped. So I'm going to say that, yeah, it helps. (YMMV.)

Absolutely spankings release stress. And I think for both of us. As I am still working, it gets to me sometimes. A long and vigorous spanking will release my stress. And it helps my wife purge the frustrations she gets from me. It is always my fault and a thrashing seems to help.

Other than spankings, walking 18 holes grounds both of us.

When the weather cooperates, fishing is my number one stress reducer. Other times I find playing certain computer games will help..........and then of there are cocktails. I don't find spanking to work as well with stress as it does with irritability. When we're overly stressed, one of the LAST things on our minds is spanking or sexual activity.
