Here it is!

At a recent brunch, I said that my least favourite implement was a switch that Ron had made. Our good friend A.J. asked me to share a picture of it. Well folks, here it is:

It's about a metre (three feet) in length so a close-up was not possible. You can see the clever use of zip ties for hanging, and it hangs on the same nail as the dressage whip which is its more exotic twin. My prediction is that it will break soon. Maybe if I help it along...

Ooh ouch Hermione, that looks evil! No wonder it's your least favourite implement. The thought of whips gives me the shivers too.

If it’s really your “least” favorite, you could “hide” it.

Such a switch reminds me of deliciously tart lemonade on a hot summer day after a long walk.

what Ron should do is get 3 branches and tie them together and then use them on your bare bottom. Then you would have something to complain about! You should try it. I guarantee he will not have to swing hard to get you to really feel it. :)

I have been whipped with a willow branch while on a hike through the woods. It looked quite similar, although not as finished as yours. Boy, was that intense. Behave!

Thank you for sharing this photo! I think we all love to see the implements that our friends fear/favor the most. This one sends chills up my spine and I'm sure warmed your bum terribly! I DO NOT recommend trying to do away with it or hide it; I DO recommend being a good girl!
Warmly,
Jean Marie

Bit hard to tell from the photo, but my guess that it is from a Tilia (Linden or Lime tree). I have never been switched with one of those. Don't tell Ron that the most effective switches come from the Corylus avellana (Hazelnut) trees. :)

Yep, that one looks like it belongs on the non-favorite list!

Ouch! I could imagine being on the receiving end with a woman using but it would be severe. Can't even imagine a woman's bottom being on the end of that. :-) Graham

That looks so wicked!

Looks scary. I hope you didn't have to go out and cut it for Ron to use on you.

Well, that look nasty. Throw it into the fire. It will be worth the spanking you will get to watch it burn.
Sometime when we go on hiking, we each make our own along the journey. Once we are in a secluded spot, we take turns whipping each other's bottom. They hurt like hell and are promptly destroyed at the end of the hike.

Thank you all for the sympathy! I would love to destroy it, but there would be consequences.

As for the type of tree, the neighbours diagonally behind us have linden trees, but I doubt one of their branches travelled as far as our yard. We have red oaks, a red maple, and many hawthorn trees, so it's made of one of those. I'm guessing the red maple.

Hermione:

I just saw this a few days late. Thanks for posting the pic (now destroy it so it is off your phone and off the cloud!)

I took one look and the ONE word that came immediately to mind: STING!
Wicked just looking at it. It would definitely sting, but I guess the after effects would quickly go away.

I have never been switched or switched any of my GFs. Looking at the thing reminds me why. Still, hope you have fun (is that the right word?) with it.

A.J.
