My husband has discovered a television program that he just has to watch. It's a reality show called Operation Repo and each half-hour episode features repossessions of cars, trucks, go-karts, Zambonis - you name it! The cast includes the owner, his daughter, his sister and her ex, and a friend. There is some question as to whether it's all real or simply re-enacted.
I can't say that I care for the show, although it does have some humorous moments, but I changed my mind about it after watching a recent episode. The two women - Sonia (second from the right in the picture above) and her niece Lyndah (second from the left) - had arrived at a motel to repossess a car. They knocked on the door of the unit and a man, clad in sleeveless shirt and shorts, appeared. A long whip was wrapped around his neck, and holding the other end of the whip was a dominatrix, dressed in skin-tight leather. She ordered the man down onto his knees. Sonia explained her business and asked for the keys to the car. He asked the domme and she told him to refuse. A bit of conversation ensued, and he offered to do "anything" for Sonia if she would let him keep the car.
She thought that was quite funny. In a voice-over, she told the audience that she was quite into that sort of thing herself, and wouldn't mind if she and her fiance had come to play. But she was working.
Meanwhile, young Lyndah was frantic. She was horrified at what she saw, and even more distressed by her aunt's confession of being into this sort of thing. TMI! She hid in their car and waited.
At last the domme told her slave to turn over the keys. He did so, and she handcuffed him to the railing and went inside, leaving him to watch as Sonia drove off in his car and Lyndah followed in hers.
Sonia's opinion of the scene was scornful. They weren't really into it, she said. "Did you see the way they were smiling at each other? They weren't serious." I guess she knows.
