The school principal birches an idle pupil - one of the older girls who should have known better - while the Physics master looks on approvingly.

I went to a boarding school and none of the teachers ever looked like that. Cute pictures. :)
I'm betting the naked woman runs straight into the waiting arms of her hero, who promptly spanks her for her nudity (a la Johanna Lindsey).

Poppy - You've dashed my image of what teachers at exclusive private academies are like. Not even a pince nez?
BP - Good guess, but this was strictly an F/f book.
Ronnie - No, but the matron did. And yes, he looks pleased. he isn't allowed to see the day girls punished; only the boarders.
Red - I agree. Wearing an evening gown or frock coat to teach classes must have been uncomfortable.
