I love it! The baby seals poster is my favorite! I am a bit of a stickler for grammar myself but it's not my job, thank goodness. Who and whom always trip me up.
I am with you on this one....the your, you're thing really gets me. I often would use the punctuation changing the meaning of a sentence as a learning tool hug abby
You know I'm with you on this! :-) It makes me nuts when an otherwise hilarious poster/card/whatever is ruined by a grammar/spelling gaffe. Come on, people! If you're going to be that creative (and some of you really are), take that extra minute to get the words right!
You only have to spend about 5 minutes online, particularly anywhere with commenters like Youtube or Yahoo articles, to get a good laugh over the way people spell and put sentences together. I saw grammar spelled as "grammer" just today. Ugh.

lol, these tickled me. 'How pacific' - I'll have to remember that one! :)
Lol, love these. The baby seals and comic strip were my favourites. Thanks for the laugh as always Hermoine :)
Having slept through the grammar classes, I just make it up. You and Bonnie and Erica must suffer reading OBB. Bacall is not much on proofing either.
Sorry, still don't care about getting the accusative and ablative in preposition phrases correct.
I manage alright in the grammar department, but my typos kill me, and sometimes my upbringing betrays me.
"Me and Lynda" comes easily to from my mouth.
And for some reason, it is beyond my control to keep from saying "cain't" instead of "can't"
Just noticed: "alright" is a "nonstandard word" according to my dictionary.
Rats.

Penelope - Sounds like baby talk to me:)
Roz - The Canadian English one struck a chord with me.
Bogie - I really don't notice any errors on your blog. The pictures occupy mu attention.
Mick - I think "Me and Lynda" is preferable to "Lynda and myself". "Cain't" just sounds like a regional accent, and quite endearing:)

Hermione
Agregitating aggrivate, aggitate and irritate all at the same time! Not a word but drives my hoh crazy! :)

I know I mess up occasionally, I do try.... but often I mix up accept and except when I write fast!! lol
I love the seals!!!
I try but sometimes when I am in a hurry the typos get me. It's the contractions that bug me the most.
A nun who was a grammar nazi would rap us with a ruler for mistakes, Funny stuff. Thanks.
Funny. I must admit I make mistakes when in a hurry.
Love,
Ronnie

Anon - Can't figure out what the first word in your series is supposed to be, but I can see why it annoys HoH.
Abby - Changing the punctuation can be a fun exercise.
Minelle - Yeah, that's the kind of seal clubbing I approve of! The other, notso much.
Sunnygirl - I'm guilty of bad typing more often than not.
Joey - I've been called that more than once:)
Ronnie - I do too because I'm a crap typist.
Erica - I wholeheartedly agree with you. You're writing for hundreds of people, not just yourself, so why not make the effort?
Hugs,
Hermione
thanks for the smile
