Every day I get an email from a well-known recipe site with a variety of delicious recipes based on a theme, such as easy brunches, one-pot meals, or the top ten asparagus recipes. Our asparagus has emerged from the chilly soil and is sprouting up vigorously, so I was pleased to see some suggestions for what to do with this year's bounty. We'll be enjoying asparagus cheddar soup for lunch today.
Here are some cooking attempts that didn't measure up to the pictures that accompanied the recipes.

I'm really, really trying to eat better. Let me know some of your best asparagus recipes. And if you send them, type slowly - I'm a really bad cook. In your expectations vs reality, my reality wouldn't be nearly as good as those shown.
Clear examples of times when people aimed way higher than their reach. LOL I am not sure why the same person who looks at a meticulously realistic painting and says "wow, I could never do that," can look at an elaborately presented recipe and say, "yeah, I can do that. No problem!" ;-)
LoL Hermione, I'm afraid my reality probably wouldn't match up to these ones lol

I love cooking. I would enjoy your asparagus recipes as well.
Sometimes I just do my own thing, however if it tastes better than it looks......ok😊
