How can a spanking be silent? Good question. I don't mean the spanking itself; Ron loves implements that make a big sound. Loopy Johnnys and curtain cords aren't for him, thank goodness. What I am referring to is the noise I make while being spanked. Let me explain...
Two weeks ago we were engaged in our regular weekend spanking session. As usual, I was quite vocal in my protests at the beginning. The swats almost always felt too hard, or were too close together, and I whined about not getting a warmup.
"I don't do warmups," was Ron's retort, followed by an increase in the speed of the spanks.
Aside from the complaining, I also cried "Ow" when the paddle landed on a particularly tender part of my anatomy. Sometimes it was "Ow, ow" or even "Ow ow ow!" You get the idea. Anyway, I was carrying on in this fashion when Ron suddenly interrupted me.
"No talking." he ordered.
"What? Why not?" Shouting is my favourite part of a spanking.
"Quiet. No talking," my husband repeated, then continued with the job at hand.
Well! This was an unusual turn of events. We are fortunate to live in our own house, with no neighbours listening through thin walls, and with the windows closed, there had never been any need for silence or restraint. I struggled to obey his order. I firmly closed my mouth, squeezed my eyes shut and willed myself into silence. It was difficult, but having to keep quiet made me all the more aware of what was going on around me. The whistle of the rattan through the air, the feeling of it as it connected with my bottom, the deep breath Ron took as he prepared for another assault and my breath as I struggled to remain still and silent.
I thought that my lack of verbal reaction might cause Ron to think I was lacking in enthusiasm, but he carried on for the usual length of time then finally told me, "You're done." By that time, I
was done. Holding my tongue had been an unusual but interesting experience, and I have a new appreciation for the self-restraint required to keep silent during a spanking. Those of you who live in apartments have my admiration and sympathy. I think I'm ready for a thin-walled hotel room any time Ron is!

That's interesting. Kallisto is quite the opposite, and says very little during a spanking usually. I prefer the spankee to make some noise, myself.
Interesting Hermione, I'm sure it was the change that made it all the more interesting for you. I'm usually very quite and Nick like me to make more noise.
Hugs,
PK
Good for you Hermione! Maybe I'll give it a try.
Nah.
Hermione,
Being quiet during a hard spanking is very difficult. Most tops like to hear ouches and yelps.
Hug,
joey
Isn't she stoic! It's so hard for me to do that.
Yes, it was interesting but hard.
It's a good exercise in self-control.
Being a switch, I have experienced it both ways, and frankly I find it very hard to keep quiet, and I do not expect my Lady to be quiet. But like you we live is a house with no close neighbors so noise is not a problem, a thin walled hotel would be different. I guess I look at it differently than your husband, I have always felt it is good to be vocal. If it is a discipline spanking I love it when she cries, to me that means the spanking is being effective discipline. We practice the Spencer system so when I am being disciplined, I always feel better after the spanking if I have a good cry, so she usually does not stop until that happens. Obviously I am referring to discipline spanking, erotic spanking to me is nothing but foreplay which is altogether different.
HUGS,
Dave
HMM, not sure I couldpull that off...I am very verbal. Good job. abby
Ah, but those smacks still make a loud noise in those paper thin walled places!
Kudos to you - I don't think I could do it!

Quiet is a necessity in my house. Too many little ears. Until recently, I had never made a sound during a spanking. Unfortunately, Dragon has increased the tempo and intensity. Silent is no longer an option. I can't help but let out a squeak with every swat.
Interesting and different Hermione. I know I shout but sometimes I'm silent - probably depends on the type of spanking and the implement used.
Love,
Ronnie

We live in a high-rise condo; but our unit is in the corner and the ceilings are high. I've never heard anyone below us; so, I'm assuming they can't hear us either. Although, I'm probably the only one being spanked and yelling.
I'll have to see if I can be silent; I don't
think I can.

I'm used to having to be quiet with all of our children around, lol! Good for Ron giving you a change of pace.
Love,
Kitty
Wow. I don't see how I could do this! Even though I stop speaking when I go into subspace, I still make sounds. It's part of the release, for me.
It IS hard with kids around. I used to keep quiet very well, but lately he has waited for them to be away and I find the intensity to be a bit more when we are alone. I can NOT stay quiet as well as giving a bit of a squirm!
I usually have to be quiet, not completely silent, but pretty close...something to do with children in the house. I find it strange when I do get the chance to be as noisy as I'd like! lol
Ouch! Good for you for having self-control. I'm not sure I could do it.
I would have thought that too.
Yes, the two are quite different. I have never cried, except tears of laughter.
I disn't think I could either. You never know!
True, he would need to choose different implements.
I hope those little ears are sound asleep when you squeak:)
Yes, I understand that it would depend on other factors.
You're lucky that your condo allows for privacy and noisy expressions.
I'm sure having children would put a cone of silence over our activities.
Yeah, it is for me too. Maybe Ron was just sick of my very limited vocabulary:)
Good that you can have a noisy time with kids out of the house.
Does hearing the sound of your own voice give you some release, or does it inhibit you?
I wouldn't like to have to do it every time.
I would say that at first it inhibits me a bit, it's actually a little hard to go there at first. But then after a little bit it feels rather freeing. ;)
I have to be quiet too, (because we have always been in an hotel etc when together) though I tend to let out indignant squeaks at times!!! Being silent is not easy! xxxx
Silence is golden. But those yelps, cries, gasps and moans are purest platinum!
Neither of us are quiet. Every once in awhile, I will tell her she is to be quiet and not move for the next n licks.
How do you find time to reply to every comment? Vacation?
It sure isn't.
I love that description!
