An Ill Wind

Around our house spankings are pretty much a routine, and while they're always enjoyable (if you like that sort of thing - and I do) they don't vary much from week to week. Every so often, however, my husband does something that surprises me.

Take last weekend, for instance. We had had some pretty bad weather with winds blowing at up to 90 kilometres an hour. On one of my trips outside, I had neglected to hold onto the storm door. It was blown open by the strong wind and the plastic door-closing mechanism at the bottom of the door snapped with the force of the blast. I was startled and Ron was quite annoyed. He had frequently reminded me to hold the door whenever it was windy outside.

I apologized profusely, then grabbed my purse and keys, jumped into the car, and within half an hour was back with a replacement part for the door. Ron repaired the damage the next day and I assumed all was well.

When the time came for our usual spanking date, I was dismayed to see the dressage whip lying on the bed along with two other less fearsome implements.

"Oh," I said. "What's the occasion?"

"You broke the door," Ron replied in a matter of fact tone.. Yikes! What was this? He never used spanking as a punishment.

"Well, be sure not to let it wrap," I reminded him. That was the part I hated most: the little tassel on the end wrapping around my right hip.

"Will if I want to," Ron stubbornly informed me. Uh oh, this wasn't going to be fun.

To his credit, my husband started off with the most benign of the implements and left the whip till last. His strokes weren't especially hard either, although they didn't have to be. The whip always hurt no matter how light the application. And yes, it did wrap several times. But I realized I probably deserved it, and did my best to accept the correction.

After it was over, I showed Ron the marks that the tip of the whip had made.

"See? That's why I don't like it."

"Good," Ron said unsympathetically.

I assured him I wasn't likely to forget to hold onto the door ever again.

Yikes Hermione, I cringed as soon as I read dressage whip! Ouch! We had a crop with a tassel on the end that occasionally wrapped. Fortunately, the crop is now in implement heaven :)

Roz

I'm happy for your Hermione, especially since you were not upset at Ron for this slight change in the dynamics for that day. I think a tiny bit of discipline really adds spice.

Roz - It's not in my top ten list of favourite implements :(

PK - It did spice things up a bit.

Hermione, a grievous error on your part, seemed to upset your ever loving husband, which made him use a whip on your bare bottom. And yes, those corporal punishment implements, do hurt, and leave imprints. I am sure this mistake with painful results left upon your derriere will be a reminder to you, never to repeat such an error.

Hi Hermione, oh gosh that whip sounds nasty to me. I don't think I would like anything that wrapped. I do like marks though, mad fool that I am. Bet you hold that door next time.

anything that wraps around to the hip would be painful I would imagine...certainly you will not forget to hold the door in the future though...hope it all ended in good fun... :-)

Abby - This was the first implement that Ron decided to incorporate into our spanking play.

Sara - I'm delighted that you like my personal posts. I have a few more lined up.

Six - I was very naughty and have learned my lesson. Never again!

Jan - I won't ever forget to hang on to the door, even when there's no wind.

Leigh - It's kind of fun for a change.

Terps - It did end well ;)

Hermione

Dressage whips are horrible things but I love the way you were accepting of the discipline and how your husband refused to be put off by your insistence about wrapping. It's not nice, I know form firsthand experience, but we have to accept the punishment our head of household partners decide upon.

Hermione,

As they say - variety is the spice of life. Fun to have changes. Thanks for sharing.

The tassel came of our whip and we haven't replaced it which is probably a good thing.

Love,
Ronnie

Yep, you won't forget to hold the door for a while. There are a few implements that I hate too. They come out when Dragon is very unhappy with me. The plexiglass paddle for one. Owie

But wait, it wasn't your fault. It was the wind. Tell him to whip the wind!!!! Oh wait, that wouldn't work well, would it?
I have to say I echo's Sara's comment. Love your personal posts and what does all of this mean?

Happy for you, I think!

Hermione said...

RM - They are indeed horrible.

Ronnie - Lucky you. Maybe I chould accidentally "shorten" ours.

Rose - Plexiglass - ouch!

Sarah - It's no good shouting at the wind either. It's stronger than both of us. Glad you like the personal posts. It encourages me to continue with them.

Hugs,
Hermione

Oh, ouchy, ouch, ouch! I'm glad Michael doesn't have one of those! Hmmm...so Ron isn't adverse to using spanking as a punishment it seems! It can be interesting to change things up sometimes, don't you think?

le sigh

It has been quite a while since W spanked me with any regularity and god I miss it. Maybe I should let the wind blow our door???

and just for the record W has 3 whips and I love them!! (yeah I know I am weird like that)

I love your blog and your posts. I know that that you and Ron use spanking mainly as play...however I was just curious IF he wanted to incorporate discipline into the mix would you object?

*Bonnie* said...

The whip? Ouch!!!!! Ive never used one but.... OUCH!!! Let's hope you never forget to hold that door again.

Grace - I think he was at least partly joking about the punishment, but anything different makes things more interesting.

morningstar - It's a thought. Or maybe "accidentally" damage his train table? Perhaps one of the three whips might come out of hiding.

Our secret is routine. Spanking is on the schedule, barring illness or unavoidable interruptions.

Princess - If Ron wanted to use spanking as punishment i would willingly submit.

*Bonnie* - Make that double OUCH! Triple, even.

Hermione

Thanks for sharing Hermione. I hate any implement that wraps around to the thighs. Yikes.

I imagine it must be frigid in Canada. Try to stay warm.

Joey - It's been bitterly cold but temperatures are slowly climbing. The forecast is for above freezing by the weekend.

Ouch Hermione! Those suckers hurt! You sure you don't want to accidently drop it in the trash bin? ;) Good luck.

Blessings...
Cat

Hermione said...

Cat - It's funny you should say that because our trash can lid blew away in the last storm and we haven't had a chance to replace the bin yet. Once we go shopping for a new one I'll make sure we get one tall enough for the whip to fit inside.

Hermione

New here [holding up my referral slip from Bonnie over at My Bottoms Smarts] and impressed with everything, especially your courage! And I do hope there is room for yet another here since there is much to explore and much to appreciate. Maybe you could make a deal to trade the whip for a crop? Not exactly fun but at least a step in the right direction.

Very, very interesting....
1. Ron deciding that the spanking should not just be for your amusement, but also for a little bit of punishment.
2. Personally, I think it is a great idea, and you indirectly also agree, by closing with your assuring Ron that "I wasn't likely to forget to hold onto the door ever again."
3. It appears you are saying punishment spankings can work for you... even if you do not want a punishment spanking.... thus, all it will take is for you to let Ron know that you are okay for now with him giving you a punishment spanking if he feels you need it...
4. win win... you get a few more spankings that are somewhat "out of the blue", and on the spot, as opposed to something you describe as your routine Sunday spanking, and Ron gets to vent a little his dissatisfaction with something, instead of talking it out forever, asking forever without your complying, and doing a slow burn inside... the burn gets transferred from his stress and anxiety to a burn on your bottom....
5.lastly: whoa..topping from the bottom,, okay you can use that but be careful how you use it.... every spanking Ron gives you is because he loves you.. so I am glad he said he will decide how it is used...
love to hear the follow-up if you discuss this spanking with Ron, instead of letting it drift away without being discussed...
bottoms up
(specially when you are least expecting it)

Wow, Hermione, Ron certainly meant business. Was this your first true punishment spanking? I know in the past you mentioned the "P" word when you were spanked for putting your shorts and belt on top of Ron's watch atop the dresser, and when you forgot to bring your dog Fang upstairs to separate him from Fluffy, and you were also threatened with a spanking when out of habit you gave a doggie treat to Fluffy when Ron had specifically asked you not to - you seem to get into a lot of trouble due to your pooches. But this time seems a little different somehow, and may be a sea change in your spanking relationship.
Anyhow, as some of the others have already said, it is a pleasure when you tell us of your personal spanking experiences. Thank you for sharing.

Hobbes - Welcome! I have seen you over at MBS and I'm so pleased you are joining me here.

We already have a crop, as well as a dogging bat. Riding equipment is well represented in Ron's arsenal.

Red - Ron is usually quite adamant in his belief that spankings are a reward for me not a punishment. I don't think discussing it would help. I enjoyed his spontaneity.

Michael - Those darned dogs get me into a lot of trouble, don't they? You're right, this was a bit different, and I liked it! Who knows where this will lead?

Hermione
