You Guessed the Implement

And it wasn't hard. I should have photoshopped the name out. Doh!

Here's what it looks like in use.

My grandmother always hung her laundry on the clothesline outside, even in winter. When she brought in the clothes, they were often frozen stiff, so she hung them on a dryer, much like this one, that was attached to the wall near the wood stove in the kitchen. Then she put newspapers underneath to catch the drips as the laundry thawed. I can still recall the the smell of fresh, clean laundry that filled the warm room.

I like your description of Grandma's room with the drying laundry! As a matter of fact, I have also used one of the Original Outdoor Solar Clothes Drying Devices myself for years, and oughta get this companion item! For, uh, laundry only, of course.

LOL Hermione,

By you not blanking the name out, I got it right :)

I always try to hang my washing out even in winter, I love the smell of the laundry when you bring it in from outside.

Love,
Ronnie

Dave - Welcome to my blog. i think everyone should use solar- and wind-powered drying devices. This device would make an excellent addition to your arsenal.

Ronnie - I'm glad my mistake helped you. And I love the scent of fresh laundry that's been dried outside - especially sheets.

Hugs,
Hermione
