Love Our Lurkers!

We bloggers love our lurkers, and if you are someone who reads but never comments, today is just for you! It's Love our Lurkers Day, instigated once again by our good friend Bonnie.

Every day, hundreds of readers visit Hermione's Heart, yet only a small number of them leave a comment. I wish I could get to know each one of you a little better. If you have never left a comment before, why not do it now? You don't need a logon ID or a Blogger account; you can choose the anonymous option.

Everyone starts out as a lurker. It can take days, weeks or even months to feel comfortable enough to leave a comment on a blog. Sometimes it seems like the other people who leave comments are all friends who know each other and outsiders' comments aren't welcome. That's not the case here or on most blogs. I love to hear from newcomers, and you'll soon feel right at home.

Don't  know what to say? Hello is fine. Tell me what the weather is like today where you are, what country you live in, or what you had for breakfast. Anything that you want to share would be great. You don't have to talk about spanking, but if you do, so much the better. (That is why you're here, isn't it?)

I would really love to hear from you.

From Hermione's Heart

Hi Hermione, Happy LOL Day. As you say, we all start out as lurkers. I know the 6th Love Our Lurkers Day will be a big success with Bonnie leading the way.

Hey Hermione,
I'm in the US, cold and clear, not sure what's for breakfast yet and I do love to be spanked!!! Wish it happened more often. Always come by and read you each day. So even we bloggers find ourselves lurking at times.

Thank you very much for stopping by my blog for the 1st time today and for leaving me a lovely comment. I have not been here for ages but when I very first started down my journey into D/s about 3 years ago now yours was one of the very first blogs I ended up reading. It is rather lovely to see myself back here again today as it reminds me of how far I have come since that time.

Ps... I promise to be back more often now.

A beautiful day here in Bonnie Scotland
Muesli and fruit juice then walk the dogs in the autumn countryside

I sometimes think there should be a circle of lurkers where we can all stand up and say "Hi my name is XXXX and Im a lurker"

Is there a collective noun for lurkers. Maybe a "Stare of lurkers"

Happy LOL Day, we appreciate your blog.

Hello Hermione! It's been awhile since I last commented but since I do actually comment occasionally, I can't really be called a lurker. Nevertheless, I wanted to thank you for your comment on Green Rootsdown and thank you for all the really fun, interesting and endearing writing you do. You really make the community of bloggers a fun, welcoming place. Blessings and keep on writing. Happy LOL Day!

Alyx said...

Hi Hermione,

To be honest I don't get to read many blogs (just too busy) so I don't always have a chance to check yours out regularly. But when I do read it, I enjoy hearing about what you two have to share about a successful spanking relationship! So I am a lurker now delurking...thanks for all you do for the community. :)

Anonymous said...

Hello. I am not really a lurker, more an occasional poster, but I don't think I have commented on yours before. So keep up the good work!

Hi Hermione,
Just popped in to say “hello” on LOL Day. I guess I am no longer a lurker as I do comment and even email occasionally (though I am still
A. Lurker :-) ).

I remember when I first came across your blog I was ambivalent – yeah right! Spanking everywhere? But I would pop in every once in a while and guess what? You were absolutely right! Spanking is everywhere! I now notice references on mainstream TV, in ads and even in passersby. Your blog is a lot of fun and I’m glad I “met” you.

Oh, I never realized that “From there to here, from here to there . . . “ is actually a take-off of a quote from Dr Seuss’ “One Fish, Two Fish”. Cute!
Take Care,

Elysia said...

Hermoine, thanks for all of your fun posts, and your photos just screaming for captions. I always have fun here on your blog. And I want to help you out here, in case Ron is reading. The consensus around the Blogoshere is that *NOT COMMENTING* on blogs on a regular basis IS indeed a spankable offense, and by the number of visitors here, you should be spanked from here to next Sunday! At least one for every comment here to start! (This is record from what I've seen!) Thank me later.
Happy LOL Day! Hugs, Elysia
