These are very quaint.....what a different time. When you think about it, a vacuum cleaner might have cut a workload in the home substantially. I remember my MIL telling me how wonderful it was to get an automatic washer and dryer when they came out. She said it was like heaven. Thanks Hermione. hugs - lillie

Hermione.
I am laughing just thinking about my wife's reaction to some of these adverts.
I am sure Ron will have some fun items for you.
Hug,
joey
Lol, I was looking at those bad ads the other day, too! I love that she's laying next to the vacuum, lol.
That wife doesn't look interested in the Kenwood chef. I think she has chosen for "Le chef de la Famille".

I can tell you those are not Christmas, birthday, Mother's Day anniversary gifts for any woman I have ever known. Those are necessities not gifts.
My husband made that mistake the first year we were married - he has learned well.
I'm happy to say P has never bought me an essential house gift for Christmas or birthdays.
The old ads do make me smile. Thanks Hermione.
Have a great weekend.
Love,
Ronnie
xx
My Man has yet to try to buy me something like that for a holiday. He is a good man.
The last ad made me LOL it might as well have said "barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen" ;-)
This are definitely appropriate for Friday Fail! lol Have a nice weekend Hermione! :)
Hermione, I actually have that Kenwood Chef! And the remark is exactly what Starman would say! Help!!!
I remember our first Christmas after we were married. We were as poor as Church mice, so we went halves on a coffee maker.
And I have to ask you, does it really make us any happier if we ask for something with Dior on it for Christmas?
Have a great weekend. Hugs, Ami
Joey - Probably the sane as mine:)
Elle - So submissive!
Bas - I think so too.
Lillie - I remember the old wringer washers, and before that my gran had a scrub board.
Sunny - I'm glad you have him trained.
Ronnie -Ron gave me a pressure cooker on our first Christmas together.
Young Lady - I hope he gives you lovely, frivolous gifts this year.
Grace - Fails indeed, for this day and age.
Ami - Welcome! No, it doesn't make us any happier. (Actually, I would LOVE a Kitchen Aid mixer.)
Hugs,
Hermione
I better never get a vacuum as a gift! Thank goodness my darling is not like that!
Epic Fail! If I got a vacuum for Christmas Bucko and I would be having a serious talk... it wouldn't be pretty.
definite fails. What many women who blog would choose though would be a spanked bottom.
May your Christmas wishes come true.
bottoms up
Red
Minelle - I gave Ron one once, but he had requested it.
TL Bucko - Not a gift most women would want.
Red - That's top of my list, and best of all, it doesn't cost anything, but it's priceless.
Hugs,
Hermione
