For those of you who read my post about the spanking spoons and didn't believe they were actually musical instruments, here's the proof. The pair shown above is an example of the spoons historically associated with Irish music, although they are commonly used in many types of folk music. Modern versions are joined at the end of the handle. This may be more practical for playing, but it renders the spoons useless for spanking, so I prefer the traditional style.
The video below explains how to play them. It looks a lot like spanking to me.

I've heard of silverware spoons used to make music but never wooden spoons. My wife has 3 different sized wooden spoons she uses to make music on my bottom, and as she spanks she says my owws and ouches sound like music to her.

That was fun to watch Hermione! :) I liked how he explained how the motion does not come from the whole arm. I'd say good for our spanky HoH's to know so they stay away from injuries. Wouldn't want them to hurt themselves spanking us after all! LOL!

Sigh... Now I am going to have to find my spanking spoons. They are in one of the toy bags. I'll do a test. If they are too loud, no playing. It is cold out in the garage.
My computer isn't up to videos, but I've heard spoon played lots of times, just not wooden ones. And as you know, I only have the one walnut spanking spoon and I really wish I hadn't at times.
