Only Three More Sleeps

Some Christmas cartoon fun from Boru.

Santa express

The caption reads, "I'm sure real Daleks wouldn't cry if Earthman Vicar said they can't go carol singing in their Dalek suits."

It's quicker by rail.

Naughty cartoon from bygone days

Early cartoons shown at the movies before the main feature were often quite violent, and as you may have guessed, many included spankings. Bimbo's Initiation, created in 1931, features a cartoon dog who undergoes a fraternity initiation against his will.

He endures quite a lot of brutal treatment, including a spanking while riding a bicycle. His bottom gets so hot his fleas leap off in flames.

Betty Boop later appears and entices him to join the exclusive club. He finally gives in, and the other club members turn into Boop lookalikes. Bimbo and Betty end with a spanky dance.

Here's the complete cartoon.
Strangely enough, it was voted #37 on "The 50 Greatest Cartoons of All Time" in 1994.

The still photos above are from Cracked.  Click on the link to read about four other very dark cartoons.

A Cartoon Startle

The comic strip Overboard portrays the lives of two groups of feuding pirates, and usually features the antics of the mice that live on board and the dogs that seem almost human. I found an unexpected startle in it the other day.

How does one discipline a pirate?

For old times' sake, here's a cartoon from the days when spanking was a fairly common subject.

He's got the first part right. If he suggests a spanking after he's finished, I say this guy's a keeper!

Comic Page Startles

Today I have a couple of startles to share with you from the comic section of the daily newspaper.

Don't you hate it when that happens?

Ruthie's parents obviously have some kinky fun after the children are in bed.

How's your Subspace?

This cartoon appeared in the newspaper recently, and I couldn't help smiling at the reference to TTWD - "... and rebalanced the subspace responders" - in the third panel.

Wouldn't a subspace responder be a handy gadget to have, so the spanker would know if the spankee was enjoying the experience?

A new name for it

That's an interesting euphemism for bum.

Would a spanking be a tuffeting?

Whatever Gets the Votes

Canada is having another Federal election soon, and one of the candidates for leadership has a problem with his image. How to make him look less like an infomercial salesman and more like a leader of the second-largest country in the world has been an ongoing dilemma.

This paddle might do the trick. If he promises to spank everyone who votes for him, nobody will care what he looks like.

You Completed the Caption

This was the complete caption in the original cartoon panel, but here's how you completed the thought bubble:

Our Bottoms Burn: I never felt that Canadians were lacking in any way or for anything. But, I have changed my mind. It's a darn shame your cartoon people have so little ink that they can not finish their drawings.

Michael: "This is one sure way to get spanked, cutting class. I hope Dean Frobisher passes by soon on her regular morning walk."

Joey: "This is one sure way for you to be spanked; I will tell the Headmaster you missed class or you can get over my knee right now."

Prefectdt: "This is one sure way to get the attention of those guys who like their librarians STRICT!"

Red: This is one sure way for me to hide, but will the glasses still make people think that I am Clark Kent. Lois did threaten to spank me the next time she saw me.

James: I think she's thinking "he's late again", and I feel her thoughts are when he get here, he's going over my knee, and I won't stop until he gets the message.

Ronnie: "This is one sure way to spot Mary Jayne sneaking out of the school grounds; I'll make sure Mrs Forsythe finds out and then have pleasure of seeing her caned in front of the whole school in assembly tomorrow".

Sixofthebest: Hermione is reading an interesting 'galloping' spanking story, instead of concentrating on what to cook for her husband's meal tonight. So she is thinking "I'm sure it will be a 'hot rump steak'. A 'knickers down' rump steak. Mine to be exact".

Kingspan: "This is one sure way to get a vanilla husband to swat my behind. After all, he couldn't refuse a request to knock the dust off the back of my skirt when I sat on a dirty bench. Ooooh, I hope he tells me I'm dirty..."

CedenoGems: This is one sure way to get the naughty librarian to spank you for not turning in this book.

Dave: "This is one sure way to test out my spiffy new glasses, you see, and sit on this bench all day and do absolutely nothing."

I hope everyone is enjoying the long Easter weekend. See you next time for another eloquent picture that needs your finishing touch.

Peanuts' Wisdom

A Peanuts comic strip by Charles Schulz that appeared some years ago went as follows:

LUCY: I'm worried about a little boy who sits in front of me at school...
He cries every day... This afternoon I tried to help him... I whacked him one on the arm...

CHARLIE BROWN: You whacked him one on the arm?!

LUCY: I think it helped...There's nothing like a little physical pain to take your mind off your emotional problems.

Could Lucy be one of us?

You Completed the Cartoon Caption

You may have seen this post before, but due to technical difficulties I omitted some extremely funny captions. I am republishing it today so you can enjoy them with me. My sincere apology to those of you I missed.

Here's the original dialogue in the cartoon.

Now here are your imaginative captions:

Michael

"George, do I have a cowlick? Is that why you're bringing me my hairbrush?"

"Alice, this brush is for licks of a different kind. This will teach you not to flirt with the milkman. Over my lap you go!"

Sixofthebest

She says, "I'm sorry I dented your Rolls Royce car."

He says, "Well my dear, I'm now going to raise your dress up. Pull down your knickers, and dent your bare bottom with this hairbrush. A hundred times over."

Prefectdt

Her - "I've gotten you a nice present dear."

Him - "Goddammit woman, another hairbrush! How many times do I have to tell you that I use a comb not a brush? This is the sixth hairbrush that you've given me this year. What the hell do you expect me to do with them all?"

Her - *Blushes, smiles, raises her skirt and bends over the sofa*

Ronnie

"Mary, come here and bend over my desk. Quality control says we have a problem with the handles of our hairbrushes so I need you to assist me in testing one."

"Oh me Mr Pritchard? I'd be more than happy to, should I lift my skirt?"

Bonnie

She: But honey, I have to go sit for my exam.

He: When I get done with you, you're going to have to do all of your sitting standing up!

Hermione

She: "You haven't signed the letters, sir."

He: "You've misspelled my name for the last time. You're getting a typing lesson over my knee!"

A Lurker:

Ok, here's one:

Randy: I've told you not to leave your things in my office. When I finish my presentation tomorrow I will be using this on more than your hair.
Bonnie: Well, you know what they say, eh? Hair today, Bon tomorrow!

And another,

Grant (sternly): Sara, I told you yesterday to put this away or there would be consequences. Now wait for me in the bedroom and we will find another use for this.
Sara: Whatever! GRANTed, this has happened before.

And last but certainly not least,

Hermione: Oh! I've been looking for that hairbrush.
Ron: Yes Hair-mione and now you will get it back!

That was fun! Please come back next week for a very unusual picture that needs a caption.

Some fathers do 'ave 'em

How indeed? Doesn't the Boy of Steel look smug? Does anyone know where Pa Kent can buy a kryptonite paddle?

Since I will be busy hosting brunch this weekend -- and you're all invited -- I am sharing my Father's Day post a couple of days early.
