Yesterday, a female Canadian judge overturned three anti-prostitution laws, thereby offering sex-trade workers the ability to go to the police if they are in danger or have been the victims of violence in the line of duty. This is a major breakthrough, spurred on by various widely-publicized cases of prostitutes having being murdered across the country. The most notable was the serial killing of 49 sex-trade workers on the west coast. The murderer expressed regret at not having made it an even 50.
Dominatrix Terri-Jean Bedford, one of the litigants in the case, jumped to her feet when she heard that all three petitions had been granted. When asked how she was going to celebrate, she replied, "I'm going to spank some ass. Legally." while waving her trademark riding crop in the air.

This is an excellent decision. It gives all of the workers the legality they deserve. Taking care of some of these in my medical profession I see first hand some of the abuse these people suffer. This is fair and many wives and s/o will now have to satisfy their partners to keep them from wandering. This will also help control disease.

Good news for Canada. I hope that these workers get better protection under the law now.
