Prefectdt - They would not survive a Canadian winter, but can be grown as an annual. In fact, there are many flowers we use as bedding plants and consider annuals that are actually perennials that grow MUCH larger in their native habitats. I never realized that sweet bell peppers were perennial till recently.
I buy my seeds from a company that specializes in seeds for short seasons.

What a fun garden you'd have with some of these displayed. Now where did I put my garden catalogue :)

I don't want to think of garden canes.
I am trying not to think of garden canes.
Garden canes.
See, told you.
Elysia - I'm so pleased you liked it.
Ronnie - I'm sure the seeds are available in the UK too.
Poppy - I should plant some bright red poppies and stake them up with CANES.
Hugs,
Hermione
Yea! Rude food rocks :-)
Is it warm enough to grow Clitoria (Butterfly pea) in a Canadian Summer? I have never seen them do well outside in Northern Europe.
