Weather Whackers

There was an article in one of the national newspapers recently about how to cope with our terrible winter weather. The author confessed that "how not to go crazy in midwinter is the quintessential Canadian challenge. Feeling trapped, cold, embittered and hopeless, but in a nice Canadian way?"

She went on to suggest ways to beat the midwinter blues, and her list of what she called "winter weather whackers" included going to cultural events, cooking, watching movies, reading, listening to music and volunteering.

She forgot to mention spanking - the best way to put unwelcome precipitation out of your mind. An energetic bottom-whacking will make you forget all about snowstorms, blocked roads, bitter winds and frozen rivers flooding. You'll be so nice and relaxed and toasty warm that you just won't care. You might even be tempted to sing, "Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow."

Try it!

One of the lines of a song that I used to sing in the good olden day, went something like this. "The'll be a hot time, in a cold town tonight". This would be a most appropriate recording to play, in this Winter Weather Wonderland us Whackers, have been experiencing in Canada, and also the U.S.A. Would'nt you agree Hermoine.

I think you should email the author Hermione and tell her of the sure way to forget about the dreadful weather.
Some of her readers may be interested:)

Oh, how about the Finnish way?

There's no room to out the snow anywhere anymore. The Top's arms are so tired from the snow-work, that he can not even spank anymore...

Oh no. Oh no.

Hugs :-D

A snow ball fight, making naughty snow men and women then finishing the day with a piping hot mug of Bovril and a good brisk spanking. I could not think of a better way to spend a snow day.

As much as Lynda hates the cold, perhaps I should give it a try--for her own good. I'm sure she'd thank me for it :).

Michael - I like that site!

6otb - Yes, I know that song, and I do agree.

Ronnie - I just might do that. I wonder what her reply would be.

Maria - We have been in exactly the same predicament in the past.

Prefectdt - Sounds lovely!

Mick - I'm sure she will, too.

Hugs,
Hermione

Daisy - Ron has actually suggested that on more than one occasion. I haven't tried it yet.

PK - Yes, we are very special people.
