We live in a moderately large city that is surrounded by small villages and farms. There is a large farm supply store near the downtown area that serves the needs of the local farming community, and each week it publishes a flyer with the weekly specials. I took a look at last week's flyer in the free weekly newspaper, and this jumped out at me on page two:
All rubber tarp straps - save 40%
It sent a tingle up and down my spine. Rubber straps - mmm! I looked a bit further and saw this:
All belts and suspenders - save 25%
and even better:
All attitude belt buckles - save 25%
Talk about attitude adjusters! Then there was as page of horse supplies, including stall mats, fly spray, buckets, and tack. Tack? We had to visit that store! I talked Ron into checking it out as part of a weekend shopping expedition, and I wasn't disappointed.
There was an amazing array of clothing, "camo clogs" which were Crocs in a green and brown camouflage pattern, John Deere ball caps, Duck Dynasty t-shirts, and sturdy but unfashionable jeans and overalls. Children's toys were also related to agriculture. There were realistic miniature farm animals, toy barns, and a ride on tractor "just like Dad's".
At the back of the store I found the equestrian gear. Bridles, girths, martingales, and a lovely wall display of at least 10 different styles of riding crops. Yum! I didn't linger too long since Ron wanted to move along and inspect the poultry display (he wants to keep laying hens in the back yard) but when he asks me what I want for Christmas, I'll be sure to send him back, and tell him to choose whatever he fancies using on me.

Farm supply stores and tact shops has a wonderful supply of spanking implements that will give a wonderful sting.

I tried to tell ya that they carry fine crops at low prices earlier this year. The ones that are leather covered all over make for a fine cane, if one were so inclined.
Arched one - They're a wonderful source of toys, but we don't have many that are close by.
Bogey - Yes, I remember that. I bought our dogging bat at an online horse tack site and paid around $10.

Hermione
LoL Hermoine, I can see how that ad lept out at you lol. It would me too! I think the crops definitely need further investigation :)

Sounds like a great shopping adventure, Hermione! :) I hope that Ron presents you with some nice goodies from there, for Christmas!
I have a desire to have Rob try out a real crop some day with the spanky stuff. We have been playing with a crop that is not made of leather- more like a bungee cord look with a heart on the end. I know sounds weird but it is kind of fun. Leaves bruises though. :( I'm thinking leather is perhaps a much better idea. I do like leather!! :) Many hugs,
<3 Katie
Hi Hermione, this sounds like a shopping paradise! We also get some of our supplies from a nearby shop that has all riding equipment we could ever wish for. I love that, something new for Christmas is just the right idea!
hugs
Nina
Hermione,
I would love that store. Maybe Ron will buy you a new leather crop for Christmas
Love,
Ronnie

It's like the woman who goes into the equestrian store and is trying out riding crops, testing them for flex, swooshing them around one by one, tapping the popper in her hand, and the clerk says, "Lady, really, any of these will be fine for your horse." She looks him in the eye and says, "Horse? Who said anything about a horse?"
LOL Hermione...gonna be giving Ron gift certificates to the farm supply? ;) Thanks for sharing.
Hugs and Blessings...

Roz - I may go back and try for a photo of them.
Katie - I hope you get one to try soon.
Nina - It's a lovely store for pervertables.
Ronnie - He might if I ask nicely.
Rollin - LOL! That's a good one!
Cat - That's a terrific idea!
Hugs,
Hermione
How funny! I do love riding crops. But Gaaaaaaaaa! rubber is a hard limit for me.
I think that is one place I would enjoy visiting. It seems like maybe no one would ever guess the other uses for all that gear! Lol
I see a lot of "farming" in your future. I would really like to visit this store, not only for the spanking implements, but also for the jean overalls. I actually *do* work on a farm, and I've been looking for overalls for months now. No one seems to sell them for women anymore!
You can't beat getting back to nature, so long as you watch your
step. Whoops!
Erica - I wouldn't actually want to feel rubber either.
Minelle - It's fun to speculate on the other customers, and why they are there too.
Autumn - What about trying boys' overalls, if men's sizes are too big for you?
Ricky - That's why farmers wear boots!
Hugs,
Hermione
